Whistleblowers on Wall Street
Understanding the SEC Whistleblower Program

Join Us for a Live, Two-Credit CLE Program on December 6, 2016 at The Howley Law Firm in the Empire State Building

The Securities and Exchange Commission has awarded more than $100 million to whistleblowers who reported securities law violations using the Dodd-Frank whistleblower program. Two of these awards -- for $30 million and $22 million -- were awarded to whistleblowers who remain anonymous.

The SEC has also assessed multi-million dollar penalties against companies that retaliated against employees for assisting in SEC investigations.

Prominent whistleblower attorney John Howley explains how the Dodd-Frank whistleblower program works, what makes a whistleblower complaint successful, and how the SEC determines the amount of a whistleblower’s financial reward.

You will learn:
  • who qualifies as an “eligible whistleblower”
  • the types of disclosures that support whistleblower awards
  • the procedures for filing reports and claiming awards
  • the impact of using a company’s internal compliance process
  • how the SEC calculates the amount of whistleblower awards
This live, two-credit CLE program will be presented on December 6, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at:
